Monday, April 27, 2020 Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a good week and have been able to get outside and enjoy some warmer weather. I spent some time outside this weekend raking and doing some spring clean-up. This week's activity is to make a homemade instrument! What can you make with materials you have at home? I made a drum and a rainstick! Below is a website with some suggestions or maybe you have ideas of your own. Have fun! feltmagnet.com/crafts/Music-Instruments-for-Kids-to-Make (Share your creations with me at [email protected] or [email protected]) Check out the video below of my rainstick.

Hi Everyone I hope you are all doing well and finding some interesting activities to fill your days. I have been trying to get some exercise and spend time outside every day. Each week, I would like to post an activity for you to try at home that will help you to continue to make music. (Please note: these activities are meant for fun and are completely optional) Here is a music activity you can try this week! Activity: My Playlist Materials: Paper, pencil, access to music (Youtube, Spotify, CDs, vinyl) 1. List 10 songs (song name and artist name) that you would put on a playlist for yourself. 2. Ask each family member (brother, sister, parent, etc) to list 10 songs they would like to put on their playlist. 3. Call or message a friend and have them list 10 songs for their playlist. 4. Choose 1 song each day to listen to and sing along with/learn the lyrics. If you would like, you can email your playlist. I would love to see what you are listening to! [email protected] or [email protected] Here is my playlist! Ms. White’s East Coast Playlist
I wanted to say hello and let you know how much I miss seeing you at school. I hope you are staying safe and healthy at home and are finding new and exciting activities to keep you busy. Are you including music in your day? Maybe you are listening to music, playing an instrument, dancing, or singing. I have been taking time to practice piano and am learning more chords on my ukulele. Hopefully I will be able to show you what I have learned soon.
Remember to be kind!! Ms. White |
